Zoo News Sunday: Miami Dade Zoo

Hi everyone in Bloggerville. Zebee here. Today we’re off to the Miami Metro Zoo in Florida. Ready? Let’s go!

I’m checking out the interactive Zoo map!
This is really cool. You can move things around, zoom in and when you move the cursor over one of the little circles, up pops what ever it is. If it’s an animal, you get a picture and information about them. I really like this, but we must move on. . .

There’s a new exhibit, Amazon and Beyond. Read about the Village Palza, Cloud Forest and more.

Want to ride a camel? You can in the children’s zoo.

At Animals and Attractions you can check out the Featured Creature, children’s zoo and more.

What to know what’s going on? Check the Events and private party link. Here you’ll learn about close encounters, tours and more.

Interested in finding out about their educational programs? They have lots of field trip options, teachers resources, zookeeper for a day and overnight programs to name a few.

They have a Meerkat camera. Cool! You can see them at feeding time in the morning and lunch.

Wow! The Miami Metro Zoo has lots going on. Maybe my boss Joy will take me there one day soon so I can see it all again. Got to go, we are having a party in a few days for Jabari, he’s going to be 5 years old. See you Tuesday.

Zoo News Sunday: The Nashville Zoo

Welcome to the Nashville Zoo. Hi, Zebee here and today we’re in Tennessee. This zoo is a totally wild experience, so sit back and have a great virtual tour of their zoo.

Let’s start off by looking at the zoo map. Defiantly worth clicking on it to enlarge. This map has pictures of all the animals with their name and a number so you can find them on the map fast. Looks like they are planning lots of expansion here in the near future.

Live in the area and want to know what’s going on? Check out the Events calendar.
It lists all the neat things they’ve got planned for their guests. Member night July 11 looks like fun. The zoo’s 66,000 square foot Jungle Gym will be available for you to swing on and play like the gibbons. I want to go!

Animal information gives you the list and links to all the animals at the zoo. Click on any animal and learn all about it.

There are lots of educational programs at this zoo. The list includes: adult programs, camp programs, home school programs and lots more.

Zoo News Sunday: The Edmonton Valley Zoo

Happy Sunday! Zebee here and today we’re off to the Edmonton Valley Zoo in Canada.

I like the way they think at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. They have a zebra right up at the top of their home page!
There’s also a slide show of some great animal pictures and links to the rest of the site.

Looking for day camps in the area? The zoo has them. Find out all the information, dates, ages, times and cost . Have fun!

This zoo is really into education. They have courses for everyone. Children from 9 months and up and for adults. There are some drop in courses you can take part and learn some neat stuff at the same time as they have fun. They also have school programs for all grades.

Zoo News Sunday: The Portland Zoo

Good Sunday morning all my fans in Bloggerville. Zebee here.

Today and for the next several weeks I will be going to only one zoo and telling you all about it. Why the change? My boss Joy and her husband Julio are underway sailing their boat from Puerto Rico to Florida. She didn’t want either this blog or her blog to go silent for all that time. So we got together and wrote posts for about 6 weeks. (She has to do the typing. Can you picture me typing? Hoofs don’t do well on a keyboard!) They are all done and waiting to pop up on the right day. So please do continue to stop by. It will be lots of fun here at the ‘V Zoo’, I promise.

Okay, on with today’s zoo. My boss Joy’s mom lives in Portland, OR. When Joy’s children were little, they lived there too. Zoo visits were a regular outing. Come with me into the Portland Zoo where they are “Inspiring our community to create a better future for wildlife.”
