Zoo News Sunday: National Zoological gardens of South Africa

Good Sunday morning to you, Zebee here. Want to go on a trip with me to a far away zoo? Well, at least it is for me. Today we’re off to the National Zoological gardens of South Africa. This zoo has lots to be proud of. First off they are 111 years old. They are also on of the top 10 ranked international zoos in the world. So, let’s get going.

Their tours look interesting. They have aquarium tours at night, camping tours, a two hour night walking tour and a variety of organized group tours.

They have a really god education section. They have daily school programs, holiday courses and even a ZooMobile that comes to your school!

Friends of the Zoo host a monthly Zoo Fun Run/Walk. The event raises money for the Friends of the Zoo as well as gets you into the park early in the morning to walk and run around looking at the animals before the general public gets in!

The zoo does a lot for conservation of the species. They have two different game breeding centers.

Don’t forget to sign up for their newsletter.

I had fun, didn’t you? But it’s time for me to go home. So, I’ll see you all back here Tuesday for more fun ‘V Zoo’ happenings.
